The Final Countdown... WeMove4Kids

3 days to go... The Final Countdown - The final route is set and the luggage is also ready - just the final touches, which is now "final" number 10. A little more weight here, a little less there - the scale goes both ways; but since it will be winter when I arrive in Switzerland, I have to be prepared for that too. Heat is difficult and cold is not an option either. Well then - it's good that everything will soon be loaded onto the plane and the journey towards Dakar can begin. I hope that will also go smoothly. There will probably be a bit of excess baggage with the bike. The route, as mentioned at the beginning, is also planned and I just discovered today that the rainy season isn't quite over yet - which means... exactly; it could still be a bit wet at the beginning and the roads could be "difficult to pass" in places - at least according to the forecasts. Well then - we can't change that and I'm in good spirits; then I might just have to push the bike at some point. I'm looking forward to this challenge – I move 4 Kids – WE move 4 Kids. In this post, I want to extend a huge thank you to the patrons and supporters who pledged generous support even BEFORE my trip. We've already reached CHF 26,500 in pledges – but of course, no pressure (which isn't true at all). It's a big commitment, in any case. I'm thrilled and grateful. It's truly appreciated! We look forward to every pledge. Now we'll just put the finishing touches on things and off we go!
So long! Keep rolling - Appenzell is calling.
